About the Job
Gresham Smith seeks a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for project management to ensure projects are completed on time, are within budget, are of high quality, and fulfill client expectations. Maintain project document files, including meeting notes, financial information, client correspondence and project schedule. Lead and monitor the effective business and technical performance of a project during all phases of design and construction. Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards. Coordinate project budget and schedule. Assist in preparation of fee proposals and contracts. Manage and oversee work of project team and provide direction and organization. Ensure project delivery and quality from programming through construction. Coordinate monthly billing with accountant. Maintain budget spreadsheets for projects. Manage project files and documentation. Assist in overall office management. Act as primary client contact; establish and maintain client contact and secure ongoing work. Ensure client development and satisfaction. Assist in the identification of new projects, implementation of effective strategic plans to win these projects, and the development of proposals. Schedule staff workload. Assist in the selection and establishment of project teams. Direct and support design staff, conduct reviews and assist in establishing training activities. Hybrid in-office/remote position. Position requires a Master's degree in Management (any), Engineering (any) or related field of study and eight (8) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master's degree in Management (any), Engineering (any) or related field of study and eight (8) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained, employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Management (any), Engineering (any) or related field of study and ten (10) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained.
Applicants must also have demonstrated experience in the following: All phases of a project including programming, schematic design, design development, construction document and construction administration services in accordance with the requirements of the Owner/Architect Contract Agreement. Technical aspects of the projects and serve as a designated person of contact for all the procedural issues such as estimation, design -build scope development and proposal preparation, coordination of design, procurement and construction phases, cost and schedule tracking / reporting and document controls. Develop project Charters, schedules, resource requirements and work breakdown structures. Electrical, Mechanical, controls and fire & life safety systems and applicable building codes. Preconstruction services such as budgeting, scheduling, phasing/sequencing planning, constructability reviews, value analysis/value engineering, cost-benefit analysis, alternatives analysis and prepare bid packages. Review design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, building codes and related specifications. Progress Design Reviews and ensure that complete and accurate documentation is generated in a timely fashion. Assist in generating an entire estimate, scope of work, and proposal within their area of expertise. Leading process design , equipment sizing & selection, write equipment/ system specification and develop Construction bid documents. Developing reports, studies, calculations, PFD's, P&ID's, GA's, equipment specifications/data sheets, and review/approval of vendor submittals. OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) Program requirements and facilitation of PSM Audits. Automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems and high
