Our technology team at Sephora combines speed with smarts, developing cutting-edge mobile technologies, scalable architecture, and innovative in-store client experiences from our San Francisco home base. Role Summary: As a Senior Project Manager - Technical Operations, you'll lead complex technical projects within Technical Operations and Shared Services, driving initiatives that enhance the reliability, scalability, and performance of Sephora's applications. Your expertise in agile methodologies will be crucial in supporting our technical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple technical project implementations (50% of time)
- Manage project risks, cross-dependencies, and budgets
- Document and track meeting notes and action items
- Analyze project data to optimize future initiatives
- Drive Agile Practices (30% of time)
- Run daily standups and retrospectives
- Lead backlog grooming and sprint planning
- Facilitate PI planning sessions
- Improve and implement agile methodologies
- Ensure Project Success (20% of time)
- Deliver projects on time and within budget
- Coordinate cross-functional team efforts
- Monitor and report on project progress
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of project management experience in technical operations, infrastructure, and cloud initiatives
- 5+ years of experience with SCRUM, AGILE, and WATERFALL frameworks
- 5+ years working with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Innotas, Planview)
- 5+ years of cross-functional team collaboration experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills
- Proven track record of stakeholder management across organizational levels
Technical Competencies:
- Expertise in project planning and scope management
- Proficiency in risk and budget management
- Strong resource planning capabilities
- Experience with milestone scheduling
- Skilled in cross-functional dependency management
Working Conditions:

The annual base salary range for this position is $114,930.00 - $141,900.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
