Our client is a growing real estate company in the Fort Lauderdale area seeking a Senior Property Accountant to join their growing team

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$85k – $90k
Position Overview:
The Senior Property Accountant will handle all accounting and reporting aspects for assigned properties.
Responsibilities of the Senior Property Accountant:
The Senior Property Accountant will analyze the general ledger, calculate accruals, and prepare journal entries.
Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations and analyze variances.
The Senior Property Accountant will provide monthly P&L commentary and variance analysis.
Assist in the internal and external audits.
The Senior Property Accountant will manage relationships and liaise with external customers (Operations and Finance teams and Auditors).
Participate in projects to continue to improve close process efficiency and effectiveness.
Utilize MRI to run monthly reports and to close properties.
Record monthly accrual entries.
Review and reconcile the general ledger.
Qualifications for the Senior Property Accountant:
5+ years of Accounting experience.
Experience with MRI or Yardi is preferred, but not required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and vlookups).
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting is required.
