Key Responsibilities:
- Drive quantitative research initiatives focused on optimizing search relevance, monetization, and personalization for H-E-B’s digital experiences.
- Design and execute end-to-end research projects, using methodologies like A/B testing, multivariate testing, survey design, and behavioral analysis.
- Build and manage data pipelines to support experimentation and generate actionable insights.
- Collaborate closely with design, product management, engineering, data science, and content strategy teams to integrate research findings into the product lifecycle.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive product and business decisions.
- Analyze customer behavior across search and discovery touchpoints, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Advocate for a data-informed culture within cross-functional teams, facilitating workshops and storytelling sessions to ensure alignment on research findings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Social Sciences, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in UX research, specializing in quantitative or mixed-methods research.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and analyzing online experiments, including A/B testing and multivariate testing, to drive product and design decisions.
- Proficiency in working with large datasets and building data pipelines using statistical software (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
- Advanced skills in at least three of the following areas: statistical inference, survey methodology, regression modeling, exploratory data analysis, or experimental design.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present user research findings to cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience in the retail or e-commerce sectors, with a focus on grocery preferred.
- Deep expertise in search optimization, relevance tuning, and discovery user experiences.
- Proficiency in advanced statistical techniques, including regression analysis, causal inference, and bias correction.
- Strong skills in data visualization and storytelling to communicate insights and recommendations effectively.
- Bilingual proficiency (especially Spanish) is a plus.
