Salary: Starting $80,000+ (Based on Experience)

Global Device Company is seeking a Senior R&D Plastics Engineer to join their team! In this role, you will be an individual contributor, acting as the Plastics SME for the Research and Development department.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as applied materials science expert within R&D.
- Develop specifications, protocols, and execute studies with detailed analysis, documentation, and communication.
- Design tests for materials applications (biocompatibility, processability, mechanical effectiveness) to meet FDA, ISO, and industry standards.
- Interface with external organizations, experts, and emerging technologies.
- Utilize databases, reports, and lab capabilities to research and resolve materials-related issues.
- Provide training and guidance within the materials science team.
- Prepare and present technical investigation reports to peers and management.
- Demonstrate experience in compounding plastics, colorants, and additives.
- Lead non-clinical and clinical studies, managing internal/external experts and resources.
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
- 4-6 years of related experience.
- Industry/professional certification preferred.
- Regular attendance, occasional travel, and ability to work non-standard hours required.
- Secrecy, invention, and non-compete agreements required.
