Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Instructor at The Planet Group

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) Instructor with a strong background in instruction and training, specifically related to C-E PWR (Pressurized Water Reactor) systems. This is an exciting opportunity for former certified instructors from the esteemed facilities at Palisades, Palo Verde, St Lucie, and ANO (Arkansas Nuclear One). This role offers a long-term contract with competitive pay and per diem arrangements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruction and Training: Deliver high-quality instruction and training to reactor operator candidates, ensuring adherence to all site-specific training requirements.
• Lesson Plan Development: Revise and enhance simulator lesson plans, ensuring they meet current site training requirements. Tailor content to effectively prepare candidates for operational responsibilities.
• Evaluation Material Development: Develop and revise evaluation materials, including written exam questions, Job Performance Measures (JPMs), and simulator scenarios. Support the administration of evaluations in alignment with the Licensed Operator Initial Training (LOIT) schedule.
• Student Performance Monitoring: Conduct thorough student reviews and follow-up meetings to fulfill LOIT program requirements. Monitor and support candidate performance, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Feedback Response: Actively respond to instructor feedback from management observations of training sessions. Implement improvements to enhance the learning experience and meet organizational standards.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven instruction and training experience within the nuclear industry, with a focus on C-E PWR systems.
• Certification: Must be a former certified instructor from Palisades, Palo Verde, St Lucie, or ANO (Arkansas Nuclear One).
• Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical information.
