Ascension Technology Corporation d/b/a Northern Digital Inc. is seeking a Senior Research Engineer in Shelburne, Vermont.
Job Description: Perform all aspects of algorithmic and software system development. Develop Computer Vision, Machine Learning and Deep Learning based methods to improve the existing tracker performance. Design and develop Al and Robotics software packages to improve products and to expand company’s market. Support software design, development, and improvement processes. Support research, embedded systems and hardware design teams and their activities. Follow good project management practices to meet deadlines and to document activities. May telecommute within a commuting distance of the company's Shelburne, VT office location, and physically report to Shelburne, VT office at least three (3) days a week.
Minimum Requirements: The position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field of study. The position requires six (6) months of experience as a Software Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or a related occupation. The position requires six (6) months of experience with software design and coding utilizing C++ or Python. The position requires experience with each of the following skills and technologies: hands-on experience with algorithms and topics in Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Data Analysis, SLAM or State Estimation; OpenCV, or scikit-learn, or similar libraries, including Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch, or ROS. Position requires knowledge of Linear Algebra, Statistics, Probability, Geometry, Calculus, Data Structures and Algorithms.
Salary range: $87,152.00 to $90,152.00
