Senior Retirement Services Administrator - Everence

About the Job
SUMMARYThe Retirement Administrator will carry out the daily and ongoing operations activities related to Everence annuities and Everence Retirement Services (ERS).
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Coordinate with other staff to complete the day-to-day administrative tasks in annuities (e.g. processing or approving surrenders, maturities, retirement payments, correspondence, tax reporting).
- Provide leadership to Everence annuity product strategy, operations, and sales.
- Coordinate the onboarding of new ERS plans, facilitate communication between advisors and third-party providers, and maintain the day-to-day operation of existing ERS plans.
- Develop and maintain expertise in annuities and ERS products to assist clients and Everence consultants in establishing accounts, completing enrollment materials, maintaining accounts, and completing forms.
- Provide customer service to advisors, employers, and participants.
- Produce operation and participant reports for annuities and ERS.
- Provide backup to the Life Administrator when necessary.
- Assist in compliance activities related to all retirement products.
- Maintain all administrative forms, manuals, and form letters.
- Assist in maintaining all retirement operations systems and procedures.
- Complete other projects as assigned by the Vice-President of Financial Services.
Education: College graduate
Experience: Prior experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
Skills:
- Background in retirement products and operations desired, but not required
- Ability to take initiative, and work independently and with others
- Leadership ability with attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word; An aptitude for learning job-specific software applications
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to read, understand, and communicate technical information clearly and simply
- The ability to handle multiple projects
- Good customer service skills
- Either possess or be willing to obtain professional certifications
