Senior Revenue and Pricing Analyst
As the Revenue and Pricing Analyst, this individual is responsible for managing pricing, promotional offerings, and revenue of our pre cruise business with all cruise line partners. By leveraging data sets and B.I. dashboards, you will help us understand booking trends, demand and pricing structures for our pre cruise products. Your main objective will be to identify and execute incremental pre cruise revenue. Although the role is by nature analytical, our working environment is collaborative, and you will require frequent coordination with multiple stakeholders such as directors of operations from all cruise line partners. In the end, this person will build consensus across pricing strategies, inventory utilization strategies, automation, and other revenue initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Optimize yields through data-driven inventory management and pricing strategies for all pre cruise products
- Execute daily, weekly and monthly price changes into our systems
- Leverage and use data sets and B.I. dashboards, to help us understand booking trends and demand for pre cruise product
- Develop pricing and promotional strategies at different levels (ex. market, booking channel) for each cruise line on pre cruise platform
- Conduct ongoing competitor price and product analysis
- Validate reports and data at different levels of granularity
- Maximize group and charter business pre cruise revenue opportunities
- Provide frequent performance updates to key stakeholders, including senior leadership
- Provides thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Financial/Quantitative Responsibilities
- Determines and executes pricing strategies for pre cruise products across all cruise line and executes decision making to drive revenue yearly revenue goals
- Responsible for supporting initiatives to optimally manage 100% of price points on each sailing & category across all cruise lines on pre cruise platforms
- Understand implications of automated changes and alter revenue initiative strategies to execute initiatives in a revenue optimal manner
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
- Bachelors degree (B.A./B.S.)
- 3-5 years work experience, in business, pricing, and/or financial analysis. Cruise line revenue management experiences preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Brio Intelligence/Hyperion Studio, Toad Oracle SQL, PowerBI, Word, and PowerPoint required and ability to manipulate data essential
- Understanding of pricing, revenue management and/or basic economic concepts and principles
- Ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data independently, and make data-driven decisions and/or recommendations
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple projects at once
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving and problem identification
- Ability to logically structure quantitative analyses of complex issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in global environment
- To perform this position successfully, the individual should be a self-starter, curious by nature and always asking “why?” to craft recommendations
- Furthermore, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty in a timely and accurate manner
