We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Roadway Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of major roadway, highway, and interchange projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, interfacing with clients, and leading a team of engineers and technicians to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, and a proven track record in roadway design.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage the design and development of complex roadway, highway, and interchange projects.
2. Develop and implement engineering solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards.
3. Coordinate with project teams, including engineers, technicians, and other professionals, to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
4. Utilize advanced engineering software such as Microstation and AutoCAD to create detailed design drawings and specifications.
5. Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives, and provide expert advice on engineering matters.
6. Conduct site visits and inspections to verify the accuracy of design plans and ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
7. Keep abreast of latest industry trends and advancements in roadway engineering, and implement best practices in project work.
8. Mentor and guide junior engineers, and contribute to their professional development.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
2. A minimum of 10+ years of experience in roadway engineering, with a focus on highway and interchange projects.
3. Proficiency in engineering software such as Microstation and AutoCAD.
4. Familiarity with ODOT standards and guidelines.
5. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
6. Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop innovative engineering solutions.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
10. Commitment to maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality engineering solutions.
