Job DescriptionThe Senior Robotics and Automation Project Manager must have a wide background in industrial robotics programming, interface management, and a strong focus on overseeing complex automation projects. This role will be responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of robotics and automation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest technical and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Management: Lead the planning, scheduling, and management of robotics and automation projects, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Budget Management: Guarantee that all robotic programming and project tasks are completed within the approved budget and manage project resources effectively to optimize cost-efficiency.
- Timeline Management: Ensure that all project milestones are met within the internally approved timelines, closely monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring that robotic systems are designed, programmed and integrated according to specifications and industry standards.
- Capacity and Capability Assurance: Manage and continuously improve the technical capabilities of the software and equipment used in robotic programming, ensuring they meet the needs of ongoing and future projects.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and obstacles in project execution and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that all deliverables meet the required standards and specifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in managing robotics and automation projects, with a strong understanding of industrial robotics programming (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, KUKA).
- Proven ability to manage complex projects from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Proficiency in robot online and offline programming.
- Strong knowledge of interfacing robotic systems with peripheral devices and technologies, including validation and safety programming.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
