Senior Sales Account Representative
Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for a Senior Sales Account Representative for JBS Fed Beef team that will sit in a remote office in San Antonio, TX area! This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with our National multi-unit operators and distributors within the National retail space.
Our ideal candidate will live in or near San Antonio, TX and work from a remote/home office.
Responsibilities:
- Create and develop new business plans for a new market area, including implementation of the plan and the ability to define channel/market volume and margin potential
- Responsible for recognizing market trends and conditions
- Thorough understanding of customers’ entire organizational structure and merchandising strategy.
- Implement corporate strategy and develop and maintain new and existing customers
- Hold quarterly reviews with Key Accounts and develop mutual plans for growth
- Leverage knowledge of the company’s products and specifications to solve customer opportunities
- Work with margin management and sales mix to increase sales margin performance.
- Provide outstanding customer service, becoming the first to call & trusted adviser.
- Leverage knowledge of the company’s products, specifications and programs to provide solutions to customer opportunities.
- Be a resource for your customers, but analyzing consumption data and consumer research to define opportunities for future growth
- Leading Sales Executive – direct report, calling on area customers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree Animal Science, Agribusiness, Agriculture Economics or related field strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience selling to National Multi-Unit Retail Accounts and Distributors
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in proteins or commodity base products required; beef experience preferred
- Excellent verbal written communication skills
- Proficient with syndicated data
- Ability to navigate customer/client conversations, that leads to selling/ developing brands and relationships
- Strong communication, sales planning skills required
- Basic computer skills required including the Microsoft Office Suite
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.
The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
- Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
- Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
- 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
- Base salary range of $130,000-170,000; and
- Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program
