A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A SALES SUPPORT MANAGER:
This role will manage a team of sales support specialists and work closely with senior sales leaders to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve client satisfaction. The Senior Sales Support Manager will also play a key role in developing strategies to optimize the customer experience and increase overall sales performance. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, and Customer Service to align sales with overall business objectives.
Principal Duties and Objectives Include:
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of sales support professionals, providing guidance, performance feedback, and training to ensure high team performance.
- Develop performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to track team efficiency and output while fostering a collaborative environment and with strong cross-functional and team communication.
- Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement sales strategies that support growth targets.
- Support the sales team with data analysis, preparing sales forecasts, and market reports for internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to improve sales operations efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and support sales productivity.
- Provide ongoing support for key clients, including contract management, and product/service information.
- Develop relationships with clients to support long-term business growth and customer loyalty.
- Maintain and enhance CRM systems, ensuring data accuracy, and oversee the regular updating of sales information.
Your advanced Microsoft Excel and analytical skills are relied upon to and evaluate data from reports, including sales compensation data. Both in-office and remote teams know they can count on your team for accurate data collection and maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor's degree in BA, Sales, Marketing, or related field.
- 7+ years of experience in sales support, sales operations, or customer service roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems (Netsuite) and sales analytics tools.
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across the organization and with clients.
- Analytical mindset with experience in sales data reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
