Senior Scientific Advisor - Administration for Community Living

Summary This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Community Living, Immediate Office of the Director, located in Washington, District of Columbia. Responsibilities The purpose of this position is for the incumbent to serve as a Senior Scientific Advisor to the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) Director and Deputy Director. As such, the incumbent provides leadership, expert advice, and/or technical consultation on the conduct or administration of disability research activities. The incumbent is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating organizational communication strategies, and the planning and conducting outreach and engagement activities (internal and externally facing) to develop and/or strengthen organizational partnerships, presence within government, stakeholders, and a range of stakeholder groups. The incumbent is responsible for analyzing and evaluating current plans, methods, processes and strategies and communications methods, including research risk activities and develop recommendations for improvement and increased transparency where appropriate. Basic Requirement: You must meet one of the items listed below (A, B, or C): A. Possess a degree in behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
