Piper Companies is currently seeking a Senior Scientist, Analytical Method Development for an opportunity in Lynwood, California (CA), to join a pharmaceutical manufacturer and supplier of OTC products.
Responsibilities of the Senior Scientist, Analytical Method Development
- Analyze finished goods and raw materials using HPLC, GC, FTIR, and titration methods, while performing testing on various sample types and ensuring adherence to data integrity guidelines.
- Qualify raw materials through compendial testing, and validate or verify analytical methods according to ICH, FDA, and cUSP standards, including protocol authorship and documentation.
- Manage multiple projects by accurately projecting timelines, interfacing with contract labs for QC sample handling, and evaluating test results alongside technical documentation.
- Mentor QC chemists, assist in their training and development, and contribute to the preparation and review of SOPs, stability study reports, and other essential documentation.
Qualifications of the Senior Scientist, Analytical Method Development
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical experience, including expertise in testing finished products, raw materials, and analytical method validation and transfer.

Compensation for the Senior Scientist, Analytical Method Development
- Salary Range: $85,000 - $90,000 / year
