In this role, we will rely on you to:
- Experience of the following from a Bioanalytical CRO (pharma division)
- Bioanalytical sample preparation (weighing drug primaries, spiking solutions, calibration standards, etc.) working with one or more kinds of matrix, particularly in a Drug Development Discovery group.
- Perform, independently, method feasibility and method development on unknown drug molecules (NCE's)
- Perform assay qualification, sample analysis, report preparation, troubleshooting and maintenance of analytical equipment.
- Experience with Sciex Mass Spectrometers and Shimadzu Liquid Chromatographers, Analyst and Watson software is a plus.
- Proven lead scientist skills demonstrated by taking ownership of bioanalytical projects involving method development, quantification, data summary and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, including real time feedback on projects to clients and manager.
- High level of organization for projects, data, and reporting.
- Experience with protein precipitation is a must-have.
- Experience with Liquid Liquid extraction is a negotiable must-have.
- Experience with Solid Phase Extraction, particularly involving automation and liquid handlers, is an added plus.
- Experience with workflows such as those in drug-like molecules, modified macromolecules, metabolomics, biomarker identification, proteomics, and lipidomics is a plus.
- Act as lead scientist, help design experiments, provide work instructions and technical training to more junior scientific staff in daily activities.
- Act as lead scientist to aid in client updates and be ready to present to the client if needed.
- Interact with clients and/or auditors as necessary.
- Act as a technical expert for all aspects of assay design and problem-solving
- Perform all aspects of the job in a way that supports the company brand and the company mission, vision, and values.
To qualify specifically for this roll, you will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with at least 3 years of industry experience OR
- Master's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with at least 2 years of industry experience OR
- PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with at least 1 year of industry experience
- Good knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical writing and basic computer skills
- Willingness and ability to provide procedural training and coaching

$110,000 - $115,000 a year
