Responsibilities:
Seeking a highly motivated and passionate Sr Scientist to join the Bioassay group within the Therapeutic Proteins team. Will focus on creating arrayed cell line libraries, gene expression data for cell lines, novel cell-based assays, and high throughput automated screening methods to identify binding partners for orphan receptors/ligands across a number of diverse Therapeutic Focus Areas.

Responsibilities:
Seeking a highly motivated and passionate Sr Scientist to join the Bioassay group within the Therapeutic Proteins team. Will focus on creating arrayed cell line libraries, gene expression data for cell lines, novel cell-based assays, and high throughput automated screening methods to identify binding partners for orphan receptors/ligands across a number of diverse Therapeutic Focus Areas.
- Creating cell line library panels and perform flow binding or bioassays for screening novel protein-protein interactions
- Developing new bioassays for identifying novel protein-protein interactions
- Creating gene expression database of cell line panels
- Generating and analyzing data and keep records of the results
- Actively participating in automating the screening process
- Participating in troubleshooting technical and procedural issues
- Communicating/coordinating activities, prepare and present data in cross-functional meetings
- Staying ahead of technological/scientific developments
- Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field and 0-3+ years of relevant experience or a BS/MS degree with 8-10+ years of relevant experience
- Must have in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in flow cytometry, bioassays, high-throughput screening, creating gene expression and knockout libraries, and cell engineering using cDNA expressing plasmids.
- Experience in CRISPR-mediated KO/KI is a plus.
- Passion for Discovery Research
- Extensive knowledge working with mammalian cell culture
- Experience in creating gene expression databases, data mining for insights, and statistical skills
- Teamwork and problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal/written communication, record keeping, and organizational skills and a track record of scientific accomplishments and publications
- A diverse background in cell and molecular biology
