DescriptionThe Senior Scrum Master independently oversees the scrum team activities to deliver on committed large and complex project plans.Here's what you can expect from the job and what you need to be successful:Job DutiesDevelop a release or project plan based on scrum team capacity and velocityManage the scrum team activities to deliver on committed project plansProactively identify risks towards meeting objectives and escalate these to project and product managerServe as a liaison between individual scrum team members and dependent teams including third party vendorsPlan for and work flexibly to deadlines, understand and communicate the product owner’s vision and objectives to the team, provide perspective and keep the team focused on critical deliverables and tasksUse multiple techniques to effectively manage the backlog and sprint tasks with individualsFacilitate standard Scrum events such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectivesFacilitate the deployment of code to staging and production environment; present change control documentation to security and other review teams for approvalEnsure software development best practices are followed, such as test case and code reviewsDevelop comprehensive dashboards and reports to communicate the status of scrum team’s development and QA activities and dependenciesUnderstand the software development process to correctly sequence requirements collection, design, API development, front-end development, product deployment, etc.Mentor team on Agile and scrum methodologies including the proper way to write and break down epics and storiesRecognize and remove team impedimentsEssential SkillsMinimum 7 years' experience as a Scrum Master or Project Manager leading Agile teamsDemonstrated effective time management and prioritization skills including the ability to work independently or in a team environment handling multiple scrum teamsExcellent problem solving, critical thinking and analytical skillsStrong business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders Solid knowledge of project life cycle, SDLC, and change management principlesHands on expertise with Jira and Confluence or similar toolsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Business Administration, or equivalent work experienceCertification/License: PMI-ACP and/or Scrum Master CertificationLocation: Hillsboro, OR 97124 | San Jose, CA 95134 | Rocklin, CA 95765 (HYBRID)Target Compensation in Hillsboro, OR: $116k - $126k annually + annual bonusTarget Compensation in Rocklin, CA 95765: $128k - $140k annually + annual bonusTarget Compensation in San Jose, CA 95134: $145k - $155k annually + annual bonusBenefits options include: Traditional medical, dental, and vision coverage401K matching up to 5% per pay periodAccrue up to 17 days of Paid Time Off your first year of employment11 paid federal holidaysSpecial employee pricing on lending products such as mortgage, auto, and personal loans (eligibility for special employee pricing is subject to standard account requirements and underwriting criteria)What makes First Tech different?
