What you will do to contribute to the company's success
- Administer and maintain the ServiceNow ITOM modules, including (but not limited to) CMDB, TNI, Service Mapping, and HAM.
- Develop and implement ITOM solutions to enhance the accuracy and completeness of the CMDB.
- Oversee the integration of ITOM modules with other ServiceNow applications and external systems.
- Conduct regular audits of the CMDB to ensure data integrity and compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement ServiceNow ITOM best practices.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for ITOM processes, configurations, and workflows.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for ITOM-related issues and enhancements.
- Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and administrators on ITOM functionalities and processes.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay current with ServiceNow updates and industry trends to continually enhance ITOM capabilities and performance.
- Conduct training for new technology integration, technology upgrades, new product design, and implementation to relevant Sparklight team members.
- Serve as the technical leader of a small team dedicated to ITOM management, providing guidance and mentorship
- Perform on-call duties and overnight production changes as assigned.
- Possible future opportunity to move into a Supervisory role over a small ITOM team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Minimum five years of related progressive experience in a ServiceNow ITOM role required.
- Previous working background in an MSO (Multiple System Operators) in the cable industry preferred.
- Proven ability to satisfactorily complete the functions of the ServiceNow ITOM Administrator role as it relates to CMDB, TNI, Service Mapping, and HAM.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, PowerShell, and Python.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and cloud services.
- Experience with REST/SOAP web services and integrations.
- Expert-level experience in ServiceNow, specifically related to ITOM modules.
- In-depth knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management principles
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead a small team.
- Must be flexible and able to work on-call outside business hours.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Certification: ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - ITOM.
- Certification: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
- Certification: ITIL Foundation Certification.
- Certification: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer.
- Certification: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
- Certification: CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
