Job Title: Senior Software Developer - Security Technologies
Location: Plano, Texas; Hybrid
Salary: $60 per hour
Contract Details: This is a contract position until 5/31/2025, with the possibility for extension based on performance and project needs.
Role Summary: Join our client's dynamic R&D team as a Senior Software Developer specializing in Security Technologies. You will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our world-leading product suite, encompassing Network Access Control, Endpoint Compliance, Mobile Control, and Intrusion Prevention. This role involves both Client/Server and Web application development, supporting Windows and Linux environments.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and resolve customer escalation issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Provide technical leadership when necessary and contribute to the development of new security features.
Investigate and diagnose technical issues, proposing and implementing software code changes as needed.
Report defects to improve product stability and supportability.
Understand customer network architecture to propose optimized solutions.
Mentor other Engineers on troubleshooting methodologies and support best practices.
Contribute actively to enhancing the supportability of our client's products.
Utilize Kanban methodology and Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence to manage development tasks effectively.
Required Qualifications:
at least 7 years of experience in software development or sustaining engineering, preferably in Network or Endpoint security.
Previous experience in technical leadership roles.
Profound knowledge of software engineering concepts and techniques.
Proficiency in Java and C/C++.
Strong Linux/Unix development experience, including scripting and system/environment familiarity.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience with Atlassian tool set (Jira, Confluence, etc.).
Familiarity with Kanban development methodology.
