General Summary:
Unum Group seeks Senior Software Engineers in Atlanta, GA.

+ Conceptualize, design, develop, deliver, and maintain software solutions within an assigned business portfolio, ensuring quality of existing and new features through both manual and automated testing and use of continuous integration techniques
+ Collaborate with a Principal Software Engineer and Architects on coding standards, processes, tooling and frameworks required for the delivery of features in the sprint or product backlog
+ Ensure application solution design conforms to agreed-upon quality attributes
+ Work with other Teams technical specialists with a development focus on building Group and Individual Products for Harmony Application
+ Technical leadership and direction for EPIC features
+ Design, coding, configuration, unit testing, maintaining, and documenting software deliverables using agreed upon standards and tools
+ Complete the design of components of software applications that support and advance the reference architecture
+ Ensure that software solutions are secure and scalable and comply with defined standards and best practices
+ Evaluate technical impacts and coordinating implementation of new software releases
+ Participate in code reviews and sprint retrospectives
+ Manual and automated testing and use of continuous integration techniques
+ Collaborate with Business Analysts, User Experience (UX) designers, Agile teams, Product Owners , Test Engineers, Senior Test Engineers, and Technical Support Engineers on software design and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces
+ Collaborate with Test Engineers and Senior Test Engineers as to ensure that software meets the definition of done
+ Ensure successful transition of work to the next stage of production during the sprints
+ Contribute to an innovation culture in the team by suggesting improvement of deliveries and participates in evaluating new processes and technologies that can be applied to future feature delivery
+ Collaborates with Technical Support Engineers to transition software features to a production environment ensuring that the deliveries meet application performance criteria, release standards
+ Ensure application and system stability
Position supervises two (2) subordinates in roles of Software Engineer 2 and IT Associate
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus 5 years of experience. Requires 5 years of experience with the following: Software development experience working in a scrum environment using Agile development/methodologies and test driven development (TDD) and unit testing, leveraging automation toolsets; Developing web applications using .Net and relational database technologies; Security: coding to standard, understanding complex integrations and vulnerabilities within each, coordinating static and dynamic security scans using 3rd party tools, analyzing, investigating, and taking action based on security scans across multiple domains, environments, and frameworks; Leading teams comprised of onshore and offshore technical resources in multiple times zones; Dynatrace: logging, monitoring, and alerting for production environments; Supporting the advancement of automated DevOPS practices. Domestic travel 4 times per year to Unum's Columbia, SC office. Telecommuting permitted from area within normal commuting distance of the worksite.
40 hours/week; $149,760 – $159,760 per year. This wage range supersedes the base salary range listed below, due to the salary range below reflecting a national range.

$98,340.00-$201,900.00
