As a Senior Software Developer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing software solutions that support critical manufacturing operations. Working with cross-functional teams, you’ll bring technical expertise to develop scalable applications that drive efficiency and accuracy across enterprise systems.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into cutting-edge software solutions.
- Lead Development: Design, develop, and test applications tailored to manufacturing needs, leveraging C#, .NET, and other technologies.
- Create Quality Code: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, following best practices to ensure reliability and maintainability.
- Problem-Solve: Debug and troubleshoot software issues, using tools like Visual Studio and Git to provide timely resolutions and updates.
- Automate & Optimize: Identify opportunities to enhance workflows, automating repetitive tasks with tools like PowerShell, and develop RESTful APIs to increase operational efficiency.
- Drive Integration: Oversee system integration efforts, addressing unique challenges in applications for raw materials and shipping.
- Lead Projects: Own high-level projects like system forecasting and shipping system updates, collaborating effectively with external stakeholders.
- Prototype & Scale: Develop scalable and modular applications, focusing on long-term innovation and sustainable solutions.
- Document & Strategize: Maintain detailed project documentation, including system architecture using Visio, to support the organization’s goals.
- Guide & Mentor: Provide technical leadership to junior developers, fostering growth and supporting team development in a collaborative environment.
Tech Stack & Tools
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript, and Python.
- Frameworks: ASP.NET Core, MVC, Entity Framework, or other .NET frameworks.
- Databases: Skilled in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, and writing efficient SQL queries.
- API Development: Experienced in RESTful API design and integration.
- Version Control: Git or similar tools for collaborative code management.
- DevOps & Cloud: Familiar with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like Azure for software deployment.
- System Visualization: Expertise in Visio for creating system architecture and workflow diagrams.
- Automation & EDI: Experience with automation scripting and EDI systems for streamlined order processing and task automation.
What You Bring
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 5+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in .NET development, cloud computing, database management, and integration of business systems like MRP, Logistics, WMS, or ERP.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage project rollouts, collaborate with external vendors, and lead integration efforts.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Strong analytical skills, with a self-directed approach to tackling technical issues.
- Effective Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
- Passion for Manufacturing: Eagerness to learn and adapt to the latest manufacturing technologies and processes.
