You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the LifeAs a Senior Software Engineer on the Joining Process Development Team at Medtronic’s MECC location, you will be at the forefront of developing cutting-edge software solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our joining processes
You will leverage your technical expertise to design, implement, and optimize software systems that support the manufacturing and assembly of our advanced medical devices
Your work will directly contribute to the quality and reliability of the products that improve patient lives worldwide.You will be part of a winning team culture that values innovation, collaboration, and excellence
Working cross-functionally with Operations, Research, and Technology teams, you will ensure that our software solutions meet the highest standards of performance and reliability
Together, we will drive continuous improvement and deliver exceptional results.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.Designs, develops, tests, debugs and implements operating systems components, software tools and utilities.Determines systems software design requirements.Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.Generates systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs.Preferred QualificationsProcess Development Experience: Demonstrated experience in process development, particularly in a manufacturing or industrial setting.Teaching and Mentorship: Passion for teaching and mentoring junior engineers, with a proven track record of developing and delivering training programs or workshops.Welding Knowledge: Familiarity with welding processes, techniques, and equipment, and an understanding of how software solutions can enhance welding operations.Team Collaboration: Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams.Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a creative approach to overcoming technical challenges.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a proactive approach to identifying and implementing process enhancements.Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R
