Senior Space Control Architect and Technical Advisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Space Control Architect and Technical Advisor to join our team!

Responsibilities:
• Lead development of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) approved Capabilities Based
• Assessments (CBA), Initial Capabilities Documents (ICD) and enterprise architectures and technical solutions for the Space Control Enterprise, including Space Situational Awareness, Defensive Space Control, Offensive Space Control and Space Command and Control systems.
• Maintain and express enterprise and technical level expertise and insight of Space Control programs, associated ground infrastructures and related command and control systems.
• Assess and evaluate Space Control programs, architecture implementations and command and control systems for impacts to achieving warfighter requirements.
• Communicate Space Control issues, opportunities, challenges and status to senior leadership and support SAF/SP leadership communications.
• Develop proactive cross domain solutions across the full range of Space Control issues.
• Lead the Defense Space Council Program Assessment (DSCPA) Space Control Integrated Product Team (IPT), and the Defense Space Council Plan (DSCP) Space Control Team, working with numerous US Government agencies and organizations; author and coordinate Issue Papers for Space Control.
• Provide technical support to SAF/SP in the areas of planning (data collection, plans assessment, analysis and study reviews, acquisition program support, and document preparation) and program assessment (budget database, POM/IPOM, assessment and documentation preparation) within National Security Space (specifically with respect to Space Control).
Qualifications:
Required Education: Master’s degree in technical field required.
Desired Education: PhD degree in a technical field.
Required Skills:
• 15+ years’ experience in or directly supporting DoD or NRO space operations or acquisition.
• 7+ years’ experience in or directly supporting Space Control operations
• Comprehensive understanding of current and planned Space Control programs and system capabilities.
• Deep, demonstrated understanding of Space Control enterprise and how it relates and interacts with DoD requirements, acquisition and budgeting processes and applicable National Security Space (NSS) guidance and policy.
• Executive level project management, leadership, and interpersonal, organizational, oral presentation executive writing and documentation skills.
Desired Skills:
• Recent space control mission experience.
• Work experience with DoD requirements, acquisition, operations and architecture processes.
• Work experience with DoD’s Test and Evaluation community and processes.
Travel: As required to destinations such as Colorado Springs, Omaha, Los Angeles, Boston, and local travel in and around the National Capital Region.
Clearance: TS/SCI.
Job Location: Pentagon, Washington, DC.
