Our team serves prestigious Healthcare, Higher Education, and public institutions in the tristate area.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Space Planner to join our team. The Senior Space Planner works with a variety of stakeholders to develop and enhance functional space programs for new projects. This role involves anticipating space requirements by analyzing project-specific data and trends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to develop and refine space programs for new and ongoing projects.
- Analyze project requirements to forecast space needs, considering aspects such as volume, staffing, and operational flow.
- Prepare, review, and issue space planning documents, including graphical and quantitative reports, based on diverse sources such as space surveys and user feedback.
- Secure approvals from stakeholders for space planning proposals, setting clear goals and expectations while adhering to deadlines.
- Identify and manage temporary spaces to minimize disruption during construction activities.
- Assess and address requests for additional space or renovations, ensuring alignment with allocation standards and long-term plans.
- Resolve space-related conflicts, monitor space usage efficiency, and address urgent requirements.
- Develop and present volume studies and planning scenarios to support strategic decision-making by leadership.
- Review preliminary design layouts and schematic plans to ensure they meet project requirements.
- Maintain clear communication about project status and any changes to timelines.
- Engage throughout all project phases—design, construction, and implementation—to ensure compliance with goals and space requirements.
- Monitor for deviations from the approved plans, securing necessary approvals for changes and applying solutions from current projects to future ones.
- Develop and uphold space allocation standards, documenting any approved exceptions.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Cultivate relationships within client organizations to coordinate work and make decisions effectively.
- Demonstrate exceptional organization, with the ability to oversee multiple projects concurrently.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a proactive and independent work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6, Microsoft Office Suite, Archibus, and AutoCAD.
- Ability to comprehend ARCH & MEP drawings and reports, with a focus on identifying potential improvements for project implementation.
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Experience with healthcare construction projects is required.

Salary: $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
