SUMMARY: The Sr Specialist Policy & Training is responsible for training
all Procurement related employees of Tyson Foods, Inc., and
subsidiaries, for all locations. This position will support the design,
delivery and continuous improvement of training programs, will conduct
needs assessments, will execute training, will develop reinforcements
and will evaluate outcomes. Actively participates to meet all regulatory
requirements, comprehends and complies with best practices, professional
standards, internal policies, and procedures.
- Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment
- Sets the standard and expectations through example in his/her
conduct, work ethic, integrity and character
- Motivate trainees through effective training methodologies both in
group and individual classroom dynamics, and distant training
(TEAMS, etc.)
- Support the design, delivery and continuous improvement of training
programs as well as ongoing learning opportunities across the
organization, in support of the organization's needs.
- Utilize a variety of the training methodologies, techniques,
concepts, learning tools, and practices to maximize effectiveness of
training programs
- Participate in specific training needs assessments to support the
design, development and delivery of procurement training programs
and strategies
- Partner with individual departments to outline deliverables,
expectations and risks, to include specific training needs for staff
- Proactively work with the Management team to identify and resolve
issues
- Actively participate in the development for employees, as needed
- Manage training budget effectively
- Have working knowledge of procurement Policy controls
- Manage support calls
- Maintain call notes for S2P call
- Procurement training support and issue resolution
- Review existing processes and help implement continuous improvement
methodology.
- Identify and reduce waste
- Review and grant/reject account Request for system access in several
systems (SAP, P41, Coupa, etc.)
- Work Box Office tickets, Account request system (ARS) and PSHD
(Purchase System Help Desk)
- Collaborate with implementation of Inventory best practices with
facilities
- Monitor the management of the Aged PO report and blocked documents.
- Participate in special projects as required
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and
experience
Experience:
- 3+ years' of inventory management and/or procurement experience.
SAP functional and technical experience.
Computer Skills:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Experience in spreadsheet,
database, and statistical analysis, Experience with eProcurement
Source-to-Pay tools desirable
- Experience with ERP systems, Proven ability to learn new
applications
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Travel:
- 12-20 domestic trips per year
