The Senior Specialist, QC Planner role supports Quality Control Sample Management and:
+ Serves as the site representative and SME for QC planning and scheduling operations and tools. Participates in cross functional operational planning meetings and project teams. Communicates daily adjustments to testing schedule as required.
+ Maintains and administers the QC scheduling tools, especially CELabs LIMS and SmartQC
+ Reviews scheduling performance to ensure efficient use of resources and achieve performance objectives. Develops tracking tools and metrics to monitor adherence to the established schedule and lead times.
+ Proposes and implements improvements to scheduling process to increase efficiency and productivity.
+ Supports QC Management in anticipating mid- to long-term capacity needs and constraints (personnel, equipment and lab space). Supports strategic proposals.
+ Trains others on QC scheduling process and tools
+ Performs other tasks as required to support QC Sample Management
The ideal candidate will:
+ Be proactive, action oriented, with the ability to adapt to change.
+ Display dvanced skills in organizing, planning, priority setting and time management.
+ Have an ability to identify and flag risks or priority conflicts in a timely manner to keep deliverables on track.
+ Possess advanced problem-solving ability/mentality, and will be technically adept and logical
+ Show an ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with other departments, and to communicate effectively with peers, department management and cross-functional peers.
+ Be ready to work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
+ Be skilled in influencing, negotiating and personnel interaction.
Preferred education and experience:
+ Bachelor's degree preferred in science. Associate's degree with equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
+ 4+ years of relevant work experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
+ Demonstrated experience with operations planning and scheduling.
+ Advanced knowledge of computerized systems and enterprise applications such as LIMS; SmartQC preferred
Schedule: Sun-Wed 6am-430pm
The starting compensation for this job is a range from $82,000 - $102,000, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation is decid ed based on demonstrated experience.
