Position Summary
The Warehouse Senior Specialist will lead warehouse operations, including receipt, incoming inspection, release, and dispensing of materials required for clinical cell therapy drug product manufacturing and development activities at Neogene's Santa Monica facility. You will oversee inventory management, maintaining GMP warehouse facilities, and supporting material supply for GMP manufacturing and development labs. The Warehouse Senior Specialist will also take ownership of process improvement projects and independently lead warehouse responsibilities. This position is based in Santa Monica, CA, but will support the facilities in Tarzana, CA and Los Angeles, CA and reports to the Director of Supply Chain. This is an onsite role with a Mon-Fri work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Be a primary contact for all incoming shipments, overseeing deliveries to the warehouse.
- Process incoming material receipts and manage the collection of certificates for material release to ensure compliance.
- Dispense raw materials to support GMP manufacturing and development operations, including monitoring Kanban areas for replenishment of materials.
- Lead inventory cycle counts and complete inventory management transactions, ensuring high accuracy in the ERP system.
- Maintain GMP warehouse facilities and in-use material storage units/areas.
- Oversee asset management through CMMS and environmental monitoring systems with EMS.
- Collaborate with lab manager(s) to guarantee the supply and availability of materials for development labs.
- Lead the support of drug product and sample shipment pack-out, ensuring adherence to GMP standards.
- Lead inventory management processes, including master data management, Kanban systems, and material flow optimization.
- Guide new material qualification efforts, tech transfer projects, and ongoing process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency.
- Work with all partners to ensure materials align with our requirements, promoting continuous improvement principles.
- Identify excess, obsolete, and end-of-shelf-life inventories, implementing strategies to manage inventory.
- Help create data collection, contributing to data-driven decision-making within the team.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, cooperation, inclusion, execution excellence, encouraging a high-performing team environment.
- Experience using inventory management, asset management, and environmental monitoring systems such as ERP (Netsuite), CMMS (Blue Mountain), and EMS (Vaisala).
- In-depth experience in the biotech/pharma industry, with a focus on cell therapy.
- Develop solutions for complex problems, leading projects and guiding teams to success.
- Independently plan schedules and activities, ensuring organizational goals are met.
Education and Experience
- Minimum High School with 5+ years of Supply Chain/Materials Management experience within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with preference for experience in cell therapy.
- Direct experience in warehouse management or materials planning/procurement, with experience in leadership in warehouse operations.
- Experience working in a GMP manufacturing facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $83,973 to $138,555. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related experience. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and we reserve the right to modify base salary (and any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
