Senior Staff Accountant - Ferretti Search

Role Description: We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team at our Gastonia, NC facility. In this full-time, on-site role, you will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, preparing detailed financial reports, analyzing budgets, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. You will work closely with internal teams to support operational decisions and enhance financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cost accounting and inventory accounting to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
• Assist in budgeting processes, including sales forecasts, procurement of raw materials, and labor costs. Collaborate with the plant manager and finance team to make necessary adjustments and accruals.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, profit & loss reports, and account reconciliations.
• Manage financial processes, including payables, receivables, and aging reports.
• Coordinate with external accounting firm for financial statement preparation and annual audits.
• Participate in month-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate closure of the previous month's accounts.
• Support the implementation of the SAP ERP system, including integration and transition from current manual Excel-based systems.
• Contribute to optimizing financial processes and improving reporting efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management.
• Proficiency in financial databases (e.g., SAGE, Bill.com) and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP (experience with ERP systems is desired but not mandatory).
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Willingness to grow and advance within the organization.
