One of Vaco's global, publicly-traded Industrial clients is looking to bring on a GL & Financial Reporting accountant as a newly created position to take some of the work off the current Manager’s plate. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to get more involved with SEC reporting in addition to the day-to-day GL responsibilities.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end close processes for assigned areas, including daily interaction with internal business partners and external auditors.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and related cash and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Monthly accruals and booking expenses.
- Pulling reports related to fiscal filings and reviewing footnotes related to the 10Qs.
- Create process efficiencies using technology; strong data skills for structuring and enriching data to achieve business insights.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills using VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables, INDEX MATCH, etc.
"Nice-to-haves"
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Active CPA or CPA eligible strongly preferred.
- Intermediate MS Excel background.
- In-depth knowledge of Accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
- General ledger and related reconciliation experience.
