Senior / Staff Accountant - Arkansas Talent Group

Arkansas Talent Group is partnering with one of the largest privately held companies in the state of Arkansas to help them find a Staff Accountant for their organization. This is a newly created position due to growth that will report directly to the Controller.

This is not your stereotypical transactional Staff Accountant role! This is a unique and exciting opportunity that will get to help and learn many facets of the business from General Accounting, Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, and FP&A. The position has a lot of upward mobility where a candidate could be promoted based upon the areas of the company that they enjoy. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the accounting team with general day to day accounting operations
• Prepare journal entries for real estate entities
• Assist Internal Audit team with inventory counts
• Assist general accounting team with general ledge maintenance
• Maintain database of all leases and assist with journal entries in accordance with lease accounting standards
• Assist the tax department with license renewals
• Audit invoicing systems for accuracy
• Assist FP&A Team with analytical projects
• Other duties as assigned by Controller and CFO 

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Accounting
• 2+ Years in an accounting role, Public Accounting (Audit) highly referred
• CPA or aspirations to complete is a plus
• Strong GAAP knowledge
• Strong Excel Skills and experience with large ERP and Cloud based accounting and FP&A software
