Our Wilmington, DE site, AMSCO Wear Products, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant.
The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting effective business management. He/she is also responsible for providing management with the financial and operating performance and analyses necessary to facilitate planning and to fairly state the operating results and financial position of the company.

The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting effective business management. He/she is also responsible for providing management with the financial and operating performance and analyses necessary to facilitate planning and to fairly state the operating results and financial position of the company.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounts receivable
- Accounts payable
- Payroll
- General data entry
- Supporting the warehouse manager, sales staff, logistics, and various administrative functions
- Performs various banking activities in conjunction with Accounting Management (i.e. wire transfers, corporate credit cards, fund transfers between accounts, etc.)
- Responsible for the preparation of operational reports and coordinating physical inventories; other managerial accounting duties as required
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree; accounting, finance or business
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience as an accountant in a manufacturing environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

- Deep understanding of account practices and standards; working knowledge of GAAP
- Working knowledge regarding capital planning, forecasting, tax, and regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft office products (particularly Excel)
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction
- Reasoning ability and planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines and to effectively alert management of barriers
- Solid written and verbal communication skills coupled with effective listening skills
- Able to recognize and respect confidential information
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
- Flexible outlook regarding tasks and time management
- Able to assimilate and apply new job-related information in a timely manner
