About the Job
A manufacturing company is seeking to hire a Senior Staff Accountant. In this seat, you will be responsible for managing all accounting transactions (AP, AR, GL entries, resolving discrepancies), supporting the preparation of financial reports, assisting with month and year-end close, supporting external audits and tax filings, and assisting with ad-hoc accounting projects. The ideal candidate has used Dynamics software and has relevant industry experience.
Duties
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Manage and reconcile accounts receivable
- Perform journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Implement and maintain accounting systems such as QuickBooks and PeopleSoft
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations
- Utilize LIHTC knowledge for tax credit projects
- Apply accrual accounting principles to financial transactions
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, and other accounting software
- Strong understanding of financial concepts and technical accounting
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles
- Ability to analyze complex financial information accurately
Associates Degree preferred. Proficient with MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel spreadsheets and data entry skills. Minimum of 2 years’ experience with Accounts Payable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully in a team environment. Attention to detail and accuracy. Judgment, and analyzing information. Communication skills, vendor relationships Problem-solving skills Must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
