degree in a Optical Engineering field, Applied Physics, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.Experience10+ years in a technical leadership role focused on optical systemsConsiderable experience in developing moderate complexity RUO instrumentationHas been optics lead or sub-team lead through at least two product development cycles which incorporate fluorescent based imaging systemsExperience building, and maintaining optics labKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesDeep understanding of fluorescence based optical detection systemsFamiliar with the key technical elements of genetic analyzersCompetent in hands-on optical experiments, including methods and tools for optical alignmentExperience with optical modeling tools, including ZEMAXBroad knowledge of materials and processes used in manufacture of optical componentsHas cultivated and can take advantage of a network of optics experts and vendorsCompensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in California is $163,100.00–$217,400.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy
