Senior Structural Engineer - Gpac

A leading agricultural group has an immediate opening for a Sr. Structural Engineer in the Des Moines area. The company has a strong presence in agriculture industry with large clients and dealers across the US. We are searching for an individual with strong structural engineering experience and education that is looking to advance their career. The Sr. Structural Engineer will be partnering with the Senior Engineering and Executive Team, while supporting additional engineering team members. 

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Aid in the management and performance of planning, designing, and improving stuctures
• Evaluate, select and apply engineering concepts and criteria while making substantial engineering decisions
• Review design drawings, prepare project specs, review plans for compliance and regulatory standards, make crucial corrections
• Material take-off, purchasing, and estimating of projects
• Properly evaluate bids, make recommendations, and aid in the management of large-scale projects
• Primarily office-based setting, with occasional travel when needed

Qualifications & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
• 5+ years of Structural Engineering experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Technical abilities
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
• PE License in 1 or multiple states
