Key Responsibilities:

• Structural Design & Analysis: Oversee the structural evaluation, design, and analysis of dams, retaining walls, waterfront structures, and other infrastructure. You’ll work on both concrete and steel structures, providing advanced technical solutions to complex challenges.
  
• Field Inspections: Conduct site inspections to assess existing structures and ensure the integrity of newly designed infrastructure projects.
  
• Project Leadership: Manage full project life-cycles from concept through to construction. This includes technical report preparation, engineering calculations, and collaboration with stakeholders.
  
• Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs comply with relevant structural engineering codes and best practices, including those published by USACE, FERC, and other federal and state regulatory agencies.
  
• Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs align with project goals and timelines.
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  
• Licensure: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or on track for licensure.
  
• Experience: At least 8+ years of structural design experience, focusing on infrastructure, dams, waterfront structures, or heavy civil projects.
  
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in STAAD PRO, MathCAD, GT STRUDL, or similar tools for structural analysis. Experience with Excel VBA and Matlab is a plus.
  
• Expertise: Strong knowledge of engineering codes and standards for infrastructure design, including concrete and steel structures, retaining walls, and bulkheads.
  

Preferred Experience:

• Design of gravity dams, retaining walls, and related infrastructure.
  
• Experience with post-tensioned anchor systems and heavy civil engineering.
  
• Familiarity with dam safety guidelines (USACE, Bureau of Reclamation, FERC).
