Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and oversee the construction and maintenance of substations and high voltage power systems.
- Perform complex engineering analyses and calculations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on various project aspects, ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of substation operations.
- Use specialized software such as SKM, winIGS, CDEGS, and ETAP for power system analysis and design.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Participate in the development and review of engineering plans and specifications.
- Work closely with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to address and resolve engineering issues.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A master's degree will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in substation engineering, including high voltage power systems.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is nice to have.
- Proficiency in using engineering software such as SKM, winIGS, CDEGS, and ETAP.
- Experience in electric utility engineering and utility-scale solar.
- Strong knowledge of substation physical design.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a team and lead projects.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Willingness to stay updated with the latest technology and industry trends.
