Traveling Superintendent
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated traveling superintendent to oversee construction projects across the country. In this role, you will travel to job sites to manage and inspect various construction projects from start to finish.
Primary Responsibilities:
Travel nationwide to different construction job sites as needed (50-75% travel)
Oversee all onsite operations including scheduling, quality control, safety, and subcontractor management
Inspect project workmanship and materials to ensure adherence to blueprints, specs, and safety standards
Review and approve completed work at various stages and sign off on progress payments
Enforce project schedules and budgets, analyze delays, and recommend solutions
Coordinate with various contractors, clients, architects, and inspectors
Create daily construction logs, generate progress reports, and document issues
Ensure compliance with all building codes, permits, and environmental regulations
Requirements:
5+ years experience as a superintendent in commercial construction
Deep understanding of construction standards, methods, materials, and equipment
Ability to read architectural, structural, and mechanical plans
Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Familiarity with construction software programs
Willingness to relocate and travel for extended periods of time
OSHA 30 certification
High school diploma; bachelor's degree preferred
