Company Overview:
A 100+ year old General Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead on-site construction activities for various high-profile projects. The Senior Superintendent will oversee projects ranging from $5M to $50M, focusing on Healthcare, Hospitals, Medical Office Buildings (M.O.B.), General Commercial, Pharma, and Data Center construction.
Primary Purpose:
The Senior Superintendent is responsible for providing overall on-site construction management, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to interface effectively with clients, contractors, and the project team.

Responsibilities:
Duties:
- Supervise the total on-site effort to ensure projects are constructed in accordance with design, budget, schedule, safety, and quality requirements.
- Interface with client representatives and other contractors to ensure project objectives are met.
- Supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by contract.
- Authorize and approve field project personnel transactions, small purchase requisitions, and field requests for information.
- Provide technical assistance and direction, including interpretation of drawings, recommended construction methods, planning, scheduling, and engineering functions.
- Support the Project Management team in developing and implementing project procedures, working documents, and standards.
- Ensure all on-site personnel comply with company procedures, safety protocols, quality programs, and work rules.
- Document violations, report to the Project Management team, and recommend/implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Assume responsibility for the productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and overall contractual performance of the project.
- Plan and supervise craft foremen and craft activities, including determining methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment needs, and work schedules.
- Coordinate and plan the allocation of manpower for self-perform work with the Company Tradesman Coordinator as required.
- Coordinate and plan work performed by other contractors.
- Assist in resolving construction problems, such as lack of productivity, work interfaces, and constructability issues.
- Participate in preconstruction work as needed or requested.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by the Supervisor.
- Maintain quality working relationships with the entire Project Team to ensure a successful project outcome.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in Company Training and Development programs.
- Assist in the orientation, training, and development of employees.
- Attend and participate in meetings, sharing knowledge and ideas as needed.
- Assist in the employment process, as requested.
Qualifications:
Skills and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, methods, schedule cost, self-perform planning/tracking, subcontract planning/tracking, quality, and safety.
- Strong leadership, management, and supervisory skills.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, specification reading, Microsoft Project Scheduling, Microsoft Outlook, BIM360, and Bluebeam.
- Ability to meet or exceed project schedules and budgets.
- Ability to maintain high-quality standards throughout the project.
- Ability to promote teamwork, team building, and positive communication among team members.
Education and Experience:
- Preferred but not mandatory: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Project Superintendent with at-risk (self-perform), lump sum, negotiated general construction, and at-risk CM construction, specifically in Healthcare, Medical, Higher Education, Corporate/Commercial, Technology, or Life Sciences sectors.
- Experience in new construction, renovation, and upfit projects with per-project values between $5M and $50M.
- Experience with self-perform work, including demolition, structural concrete, rough carpentry, doors/frames/hardware, drywall, ceilings, and Division 10 specialties.
- OSHA certification is preferred.
- Stable employment history with a track record of profitable self-perform and overall project performance.
- Experience with preconstruction work.
- Any relevant accreditations, certifications, diplomas, and/or licenses the applicant elects to provide.
