About this role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Industrial Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the operations and maintenance of the Athens GA factory and Jefferson GA warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and facilities are operating efficiently and safely while adhering to regulatory standards. This role will involve supervising a team of maintenance professionals, developing maintenance programs, and coordinating with various departments to support production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Facility Management: Oversee the daily operations of industrial facilities, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with all regulations and standards.
+ Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment and facilities.
+ Team Leadership: Manage, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
+ Budget Management: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including cost forecasting, tracking expenditures, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
+ Inventory Management: Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and parts, ensuring availability while minimizing excess stock.
+ Contractor Management: Maintain contractor EHS program along with proof of completion and insurance records.
+ Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance services, ensuring quality and compliance with service agreements.
+ Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and leading training sessions.
+ Project Management: Oversee facility improvement projects, from planning and budgeting to execution and final inspection, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
+ Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, prepare reports on facility performance, and provide recommendations for improvements to senior management.
Required Qualifications:
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ 5+ years of experience in facilities management or maintenance supervision within an industrial setting
+ 3+ years of experience managing a team
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Prefer a degree
+ Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, building systems, and maintenance best practices.
+ Experience with electrical code and standards.
+ Experience managing a team, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
+ Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
+ Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
+ Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
+ Experience with SAP Ariba procurement system.
+ Certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Maintenance Management Professional (MMP).
+ Experience with Lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
