The Location: Taconic Biosciences is seeking a full-time Senior Supervisor Facilities Support to join our dedicated Warehouse team in this at our Seattle, WA site.
The Pay Range: $72,000 - $77,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.
The Schedule: Full-time position working Monday- Friday generally 9AM – 5PM, with potential for some flexibility needed for on-call support or during periods when coverage of other staff is needed.
Travel for Training Schedule: Training will include flying to our NY site for two consecutive weeks of training. Travel, hotel, and food accommodations will be covered. Training/travel targeted for November.

The Role:
The Senior Supervisor Facilities Support will oversee Warehouse and Support functions at the site level. You will ensure accurate receiving, inventory control, sterilization, and distribution of raw materials to support internal and external stakeholders. This role plays a key part in promoting a healthy and safe work environment while supporting Taconic's strategic objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
Occasional travel is required, generally 2-5 trips per year. Travel may involve visiting other US sites.

The Role:
The Senior Supervisor Facilities Support will oversee Warehouse and Support functions at the site level. You will ensure accurate receiving, inventory control, sterilization, and distribution of raw materials to support internal and external stakeholders. This role plays a key part in promoting a healthy and safe work environment while supporting Taconic's strategic objectives.
Core Responsibilities:
- Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to enhance employee skills and adherence to company standards. Ensure employees remain up to date with company assigned trainings.
- Maintain accurate records in an ERP system, managing inventory, running reports, and troubleshooting issues.
- Coordinate incoming material from vendors and warehouses, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Verify all received goods against orders, documenting non-conformances as needed.
- Oversees put-a-way strategies to ensure the optimal organization of products according to correct orientation and environmental capacities.
- Document non-conformances diligently and accurately upon receipt or discovery of damaged goods.
- Conduct physical inventory counts per schedules and procedures.
- Supports the delivery of raw materials within site to locations via transfer order process.
- Ensures site safety by addressing safety concerns and reporting incidents promptly.
- Coordinates routine servicing on equipment, pallet jacks and vehicles.
- Supports training activities for Taconic Warehouse staff nationally/internationally as needed.
- Support Taconic Hazardous Waste Storage and Disposal program. Including ensuring proper labeling, handling, and the coordination of qualified pickup.
- Assist in coordinating supplies for animal rooms, including cleaning, loading, and autoclaving.
- Assist in the completion of area responsibilities. Verify accurate completion of tasks by area personnel.
- Train and enforce Standard Operating Procedures and established Work Instructions.
- Lead and motivate team of direct reports.
- Act as a working supervisor, assisting in daily operations during absences or high-demand periods.
- Perform loading, unloading, running, and other duties as required.
- Processing, documenting, and packing surplus animals.
- Prepare and manage orders for shipping via UPS, FedEx, or trucks.
- Associates degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent technical/managerial experience.
- 1 year of relevant experience in a supervisory or technical role.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with LEAN principles and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are advantageous.
- Regular physical exertion required, including climbing, crouching, crawling, and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to chemicals, heavy machinery, and occupational hazards.
- Occasional exposure to extremes in temperature, outdoor weather, strong odors, and noise levels.
