If you are a Surveying professional aiming to grow your career within Geomatics & Surveying inspections, then our Sr. Surveying Project Manager opportunity will provide you with a fulfilling position having you be the face of Surveying for NV5 in the office, managing all survey activities related to conventional, GPS and Laser Scanning surveys and be responsible for project management on all survey projects. This position is based in NV5’s growing Columbia, SC office.
As our Sr. Survey Project Manager, you will a build, mentor, and supervise survey staff. Assist Group Manager, Project Managers, Survey Technicians, and Survey Coordinators with directing the activities of Survey staff. Monitor and improve upon production levels and staff utilization. Maintain high level of customer service with existing client base.
Responsibilities:Other Responsibilities include:
- Participate in and support development of goals and objectives.
- Coordinate training opportunities for staff.
- Provide quality control and quality assurance on Survey deliverables.
- Assume legal responsibility for work.
- Work with Survey Group Managers to achieve department goals.
- Generate new business leads.
- Assist with CAD mapping as needed (AutoCAD and MicroStation).
- Participate in professional and civic organizations.
- Analyze activities, costs, operations and forecast date toward goal attainment.
- Enforce company policies with respect to safety, protocol, and procedures.
- Assist in the development of new procedures and technology.
- Market all NV5 services to clients.
- Support SUE and Utility coordination staff as needed.
If you possess the following experience & qualifications, then we would love to learn more about you!
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable work experience.
- SC Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS).
- GA Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS) is a plus.
- 8+ years of surveying experience with 3+ years of previous management experience.
- Working knowledge and experience in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
