Position: Technical SpecialistLocation: Harrisburg, PA (Hybrid - 1 day a week)Duration: 09 Months (Extendable)In Person Interviewsthe expert on Windows Server administration, along with the responsibility toensure the availability of the products for the application teams and end users.Will also be responsible for evaluating, preparing, and recommending technicalsolutions, as well as troubleshooting complex problems with a wide variety ofapplications. The Technical Architect Specialist position requires significantexpert experience and skills in the products being supported. The TechnicalArchitect Specialist will usually also have significant experience in theoperating environment(s) (e.g., HP/UX, Windows, Linux, etc.) on which theproduct is implemented. The Technical Architect Specialist is responsible forcollaborating with System Specialists, Programmers and vendors to ensure andenhance the use of the product and effect migration to new versions of aproduct.Role Description:• Responsible for functioning as the Technical SME on an enterprise-wide system.• Responsible for implementations of products/services that involve significantCommonwealth and federal oversight.• Provides direct technical expertise to Executive applications involvingnational security.• Delivers support and design for industry specific applications that requireintegration with statewide systems or applications.• Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts.• May function as a niche SME.• Demonstrates expertise in teaching/conveying technical and/or functionalcourses/concepts.• Develops appropriate work programs and use to effectively scheduletasks/assignments.• Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high qualityservices/products.• Actively contributes as an expert or actual designer.• Provides accurate estimates for design and programming efforts for systemchanges and enhancements.• Confirms that technical architecture will support all changes required byproduct enhancements.• Anticipates, identifies, tracks, and resolves issues and risks affecting ownwork and work of the Application Team.• Develops contingency plans as necessary.• Applies specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customerobjectives.• Anticipates and resolve issues specific to the team.• Determines time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in atimely manner.• Determines server sizing and configuration, printer configuration, bandwidthanalysis and capacity planning.• Monitor the availability of updates/upgrades to server hardware, tests andinstalls updates/upgrades. (SCCM/SCOM)• Superior interpersonal and customer service skills required including abilityto work effectively in a team environment.
