Position Summary:
The Senior System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the information technology systems and networks within the organization, specific to operations. This position will be responsible for ensuring the stable operation and suggested improvements of CyncHealth’s IT infrastructure, providing technical support to staff.
Position Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize organization's information technology systems, networks, and cloud environments, to ensure security and performance. Depending on assignments, this may include:
- Manage user authentication and access control, including OKTA administration and Microsoft Intra for identity management.
- Manage and enforce Group Policies and Intune policies for workstation compliance across Windows and macOS, ensuring devices are patched, secure, and compliant.
- Administer and maintain UNIX/Linux and Windows environments, ensuring security, updates, and optimization.
- In collaboration with engineering staff, lead efforts to install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, network components, and firewalls.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, network, firewall, and server issues, collaborating with IT professionals as needed.
- Evaluate system and network performance, implementing enhancements to improve efficiency and security.
- Provide technical support and education to staff, assisting with inquiries related to hardware, software, and networking.
- Collaborate with vendors and service providers to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Handle license compliance for various software products, ensuring adherence to licensing agreements across the organization.
- Coordinate with vendors on infrastructure and SaaS applications to ensure effective integration, performance, and support.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation for IT processes and configurations while staying updated on technology trends to recommend system enhancements.
- Document system configurations, network topologies, cloud environments, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending system and infrastructure improvements.
- Minimum (8) years’ work experience in IT industry experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business or a related field required.
- Advanced knowledge in a majority of the following required:
- Networking and firewall management
- Cloud administration, including AWS and Azure storage solutions
- UNIX/Linux and Windows server administration
- VPN configurations
- Monitoring and Alerting systems
- Certificate Authority management
- Port and IP allocation
- Windows Administration
- OKTA
- Microsoft products including Office 365 and Intune.
- Healthcare technology experience is highly preferred, particularly with interface engines such as Rhapsody, Cloverleaf, etc.
- Demonstrated success working within an ITIL ITSM framework.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with proven experience in customer engagement.
- Extensive organizational skills and methodology in task management.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict service level agreements in a fast-paced, complex, and dynamic environment.
- Strong presence and professional image, with the ability to work independently and within a team while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Willingness to learn and take on new tasks to support organizational goals, while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
- Hours are generally Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. As operational deliverable deadlines emerge there will likely be extended working hours.
- Ability to serve on a rotating on-call schedule.
- Light work requiring exertion up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
- Ability to work from La Vista, NE office with reliable and predictable attendance.
