Responsibilities:The Deployed Systems Analysis and Enhancements Group (GAD1) is committed to maintaining the continued performance and implementing new technologies on our long-lived strategic systems. We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to develop new model-based architectures and capabilities for the Trident guidance system. The engineer will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of system-level models and simulations; the development of system design and verification plans; and the updating of interface diagrams. The ideal candidate will lead MBSE development activities and be capable of managing small teams of other systems engineers.
Qualifications:Required Qualifications:
- BS, MS, or PhD in a relevant engineering field
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
- Experience in systems engineering, including requirements development and analysis, conceptual development, detailed design, risk management, integration and test, verification and validation, and qualification testing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be a highly motivated, self-starter with willingness to learn and participate in a team environment.
- Experience in working with and applying model-based systems engineering (MBSE) best practices to design, develop, build, and transition the systems into fielded use.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MagicDraw, Cameo Collaborator, and Cameo Datahub
- Experience with IBM Rational DOORs "Classic"
- Experience as a system model architect
- Familiarity with DoD and Navy policies and procedures
