Volt is immediately hiring Senior System/Test Engineer in Richardson, TX.
As Senior System/Test Engineer, you will:
We are looking for a Senior System/Test Engineer to join our world class engineering team and the talented team that develops enhancements and modifications to existing software systems. In this role you will be responsible for the continued development and maintenance of several mission software systems. You will be providing excellent technical guidance and team communication. You will provide informal testing as well as formal customer witness testing. You will function in a technical role in a maintenance and development environment and effectively work and communicate with all levels of Program Leadership, Customers, and Engineers on the Program team.
What You Will Do:
• Collaborate with Program Leadership and teammates to design and develop software
• Assist in providing technical direction and clarification to team members (including subcontractors) during the entire software development lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to development, testing, deployment, and operations
• Apply systems engineering expertise in particular to feature designs to reduce overall risk to the software development lifecycle
• Create and execute regression and system release test procedures for pertinent systems. Testing includes internal informal testing as well as formal customer witness testing
• Engage with customer user representatives to gather user needs and incorporate into the feature designs
• Engage with SMEs from other disciplines on the team to fully understand the solution and document the designs Required.
This is a 12 Month full time Contract opportunity.
This position requires Active TS/SCI w/ CI Poly Clearance.
The Ideal candidate will have:
• DODI 8570.01-M IAT Level I (minimum) Certification
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or possess the equivalence of 10-12 years direct experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experienced with requirements decomposition and experience with CONOPS development
• Experienced with interfaces and understanding Interface Control Documents (ICDs)
• Solution oriented, strong communication skills, excellent problem-solving and time management skills
• Extensive systems engineering experience, including support to development of large software systems, as Technical Lead or with subject matter expert experience; and extensive engineering experience working in the full software development lifecycle
• Experience with authoring and executing formal test procedures both for internal testing and customer witness testing.
• Ability to accurately document discrepancies and problems in the appropriate tools utilized by the program
Pay Range: $90.00 - $100.00 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
