ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Alexandria, VA . This is an ON-SITE position supporting the US government .
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Serve as a strategic IT advisor in the planning and vision-setting for cloud adoption and modernization of the enterprise IT computing infrastructure.
+ Interact directly with Component and support teams to develop guidance and high-level architectures that support IT modernization efforts.
+ Engage in thought leadership discussions and provide recommendations for the incremental steps required to evolve IT and integrate key infrastructure components across the enterprise.
+ Review solution-level architectures and implementation plans to determine their alignment with the overarching vision.
+ Conduct analyses of IT requirements and transition planning and develop architecture baselines for data center consolidation and hybrid cloud programs.
+ Assist with the development of integration plans, migration plans, and schedules and provide research and analyses on new technologies that reduce IT infrastructure implementation, operations, and maintenance costs.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ 10+ years of related experience providing engineering and operational support.
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
+ Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Azure
+ Experience designing, deploying and managing Windows 2016 and 2019 server technologies, in an Azure Cloud environment, VMWare and physical hardware.
+ Expertise with Legacy Modernization and Agile Software development, Site Reliability Engineering, Performance Engineering, Resilience Engineering.
+ Excellent communication skills verbal & written in English to communicate with IT teams, Executives, and clients.
+ Vast experience in developing associated business cases and plans which are detailed, actionable and aligned with industry best practices.
+ Ability to solve complex technical problems and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills and significant experience providing in-person technical briefings for executive audiences.
+ Experience creating and updating SOPs and comprehensive technical documentation for all systems listed above.
+ Excellent time management and task management abilities, must be able to plan and execute complex interdependent activities across both IT systems and people-based processes.
+ System architecture, design, maintenance, and OS upgrade projects.
+ Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
+ Ability to multi-task on operational issues in a group environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Familiar with Federal Government cloud environments and security protocols
+ Azure certifications are desired
+ Excellent knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools such as Azure DevOps / GitLab
+ Familiar with containers (Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker etc.)
+ Knowledge of cloud monitoring and alerting services and capabilities.
Security Clearance Requirements:
+ US Citizenship
+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Physical Requirements:
+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
+ Frequently communicates w/co-workers, management & customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
