Summary:
4 Corner Resources is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer that will support systems in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) cultured team, primarily focusing on automation and process improvement for operational tasks. This project hire requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation tools, and mentoring team members while handling system troubleshooting and project planning.
 
Description:
The Senior Systems Engineer will work with a Systems Engineering team to innovate and implement automation solutions for tasks such as Cloud infrastructure provisioning, SSL certificate management, vulnerability remediation, load balancer configuration, and system decommissioning. The role involves maturing team processes through automation, mentoring team members, and actively engaging with Development, QA, Product/Business Owners, and senior management. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting on Linux-based systems, automating using tools like AWS, Chef, Terraform, and Git, and working in an enterprise environment with REST, SOA, and Java/J2EE technologies. Effective communication and leadership skills are essential, as this role also requires coordinating small to mid-sized projects and participating in on-call rotations for production support.
 
Requirements:
Experience with the following:

• AWS Cloud (ECS, EC2, S3, ALB/ELB, Lambda, CloudTrail, Fargate)
• Linux/Unix systems
• Chef, Terraform/Atlantis (module-based)
• Apache, Nginx, Tomcat
• Rabbit MQ
• SSL Certificate Management
• Vulnerability Management
• Scripting knowledge

• Vault, CloudWatch, Splunk, App Dynamics (or similar monitoring tools)
• Akamai, Go/Python/Bash, Rundeck, Kubernetes (Helm/Tiller)
• MS Azure exposure or experience
