Kratos is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with the following job responsibilities: Provides qualified systems engineering support on hardware and software training systems development projects. Capable of leading teams of engineering and technical specialists in functional and details systems analysis of complex military training systems. Ability to assess training tasks and identify functional fidelity requirements for real time simulation of military systems as applied to training of operators and maintainers. Identifies functional and derived system requirements supporting training system design, development, test, documentation, and fielding objectives. Works closely with expert operators and technical team disciplines in support of hardware and software systems design, development, testing and operations. Ensures requirements traceability between simulated systems and training requirements. Works closely with lead engineering, manufacturing, quality, logistics, configuration management, test, and project management personnel to address program requirements trace, deficiency reporting, deficiency resolution and training requirements during all program phases. Leads development of the test plan and requirement traceability matrix.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to design Training systems under US Department of Defense regulations, standards and acquisition framework methods
- Ability to conduct analysis of requirements and components and support audits conducted to ensure intended functionality and performance is achieved
- Ability to have an in-depth working knowledge of industry practices, standards and technology areas
- Ability to lead the definition, analysis and allocation of requirements ensuring that requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle
- Ability to prepare, review, and evaluate interface documentation, specifications, test plans and requirements trace Matrix.
- Ability to conduct analysis of system requirements and components, and supports system audits conducted to ensure intended system functionality and performance is achieved
- Supports system test programs and analyzes system testing
- Understanding of manufacturing, quality, test, and process workflow, including departmental planning activities
- Preparation of manufacturing plans and logistics documentation packages, both hands-on and using support staff
- Understand and work to ISO quality policies

Required Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other related scientific or technical discipline.
- 10 plus years engineering experience.
- Systems Engineering and product manufacturing knowledge
- Ability to read systems schematics, CAD drawings and software products
- Functional and physical systems analyses skills
