Job Details
We are currently seeking a dedicated, hands-on, self-starter with 3-5+ years of recent full public accounting experience to lead tax and accounting engagements at our firm. The ideal candidate will report directly to one of our Tax Managers and Tax Partners.
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for performing tax preparation, tax research, and planning with minimal supervision. This position will also work directly with clients and supervise and assist tax staff personnel with preparing tax returns and research.

Job Details

The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for performing tax preparation, tax research, and planning with minimal supervision. This position will also work directly with clients and supervise and assist tax staff personnel with preparing tax returns and research.
Responsibilities
- Prepare complex tax returns and perform tax research
- Respond to tax notices from taxing authorities
- Review tax info supplied by the client and meet with and/or contact the client regarding general or complex tax questions
- Recognize, anticipate, and resolve tax issues and make recommendations
- Assist and supervise tax staff in preparing tax returns and research.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
- 3-5+ years of prior public accounting experience
- CPA license or CPA candidacy required
- Must be proficient in corporate, partnership, and individual tax return preparation and tax planning
- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, client service, and PC skills
- Ability to effectively juggle priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to prepare interim and annual financial statements.
- Experience in managing multiple client engagements at the same time
- Prior basic supervisory experience is preferred
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks is required
- Lacerte tax software is preferred but not required
